Acentropelma sp. "Chiapas" (Chiapas Golden Red Rump) is an extremely hardy tarantula that can make a great beginner species.  Specimens are sometimes  "testy" although they make a wonderful display spider. Females are thought to live upwards of 30 years.  

Recommended enclosure: A 4x4x6" Terrestrial Kit w/Magnetic Lock or 4x4x5” Terrestrial w/Classic Porthole.  Either would work for now, but would be  snug and outgrown quickly. A 7x7x11” Terrestrial Enclosure Kit or 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit could make a great permeant enclosure for this tarantula.
