Meet the "Rusty Red Roach": An Awesome Cricket Alternative!
We're excited to offer our customers our favorite feeders, the Blatta lateralis, also known as the "Rusty Red Roach," a hardy and prolific breeder perfect for feeding your tarantulas. With a size range of 1/7" to 1" as adults, they're an excellent replacement for crickets.
Key Benefits:
Low Maintenance: Thrive on a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains, and can survive at room temperature without supplemental heating.
Easy: Unable to climb smooth surfaces, making them easy to contain
No Hiding: They won't burrow and hide in your spider's enclosure, making them easy to find and devour.
Safe: Unlike crickets, Lats don’t have strong mandibles, it’s unlikely for one to injure a tarantula.
Nutritious: Offer significantly more nutritional value than worms or even crickets, reducing the need for frequent feeding.
Flightless: Adult males have wings, but are flightless
Variety: Available in a wide rage of sizes, from 1/7 to 1"

Ordering Information:
-Mixed roaches come in bulk 1/6-3/4"+ and cannot be sorted by size or type
-To receive individually sorted B. lateralis by size, please order them separately and indicate your request in the order notes to keep individually ordered sizes separate
-Please note that multiple sizes/types of B. lateralis ordered may be sent in the same container unless otherwise requested
