Brachypelma smithi (form. annitha) (Mexican Giant Red Knee) 2 1/2-3” FEMALE

Known for being larger and leggier than the similar looking B. hamorii, this colorful and docile (yet skittish) this scrub-land/desert tarantula is just as hardy and long-lived as the hobby classic. The females are known to sometimes live in excess of 30 years. 

Recommended enclosure: A 4x4x6” Terrestrial Kit w/Magnetic Lock or 4x4x5” Terrestrial w/Classic Porthole.  Either would make a great enclosure for now, and would be outgrown in a few molts. A 8x8x14" Terrestrial Enclosure Kit could make a great permeant enclosure for this tarantula. 

Currently feeding on:Medium B. lateralis.
